Suspect robs several businesses on northwest side

The Chicago Police Department is asking for the public's help to investigate robberies in Irving Park from earlier this month. The thefts happened on Feb. 4, over a span of about 30 minutes between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. According to the police, the incidents have happened in two different locations: the first one is on the 4300 block of North Kedzie Avenue, and the second happened on the 3100 block of West Irving Park Road. Authorities investigating the case with law enforcement officials stated that the suspect was able to make away with cash in the businesses he robbed. The witnesses describe the suspect as a white Hispanic male, approximately 6 to 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a slender build. He was last seen in a black hooded sweatshirt with jeans and may be more easily identified by his clothes. The Chicago Police Department would like to emphasize safety and requests that no one approaches or confronts the suspect if he is seen. They would urge anyone who sees him acting suspiciously or who knows anything relevant to the robberies to call 911 immediately to report what they witness.
