The Chicago Police Department has identified a group of four to five male suspects responsible for a string of over twelve armed robberies over a period of two days. These robberies were confined to certain areas within the city, especially on the West and Northwest Sides, targeting citizens from the 14th, 16th, and 25th police districts. According to police, the incidents occurred in several different locations within both precincts.
In each of the robberies, victims reported that one or more of the suspects approached them, either producing a handgun or using it as an assault weapon. This kind of violent act terrorized the victims and resulted in the suspects stealing personal items from them, quite often when they were caught off guard during the incidents. The suspects immediately fled the scenes of the robberies, and it was truly hard for law enforcement to catch them right after the commission of robberies. While police are diligently working on gathering more information and apprehending the ones responsible for violent crimes, they call on the community to be watchful and report any suspicious activity.
On March 14 at 7:41 p.m., local police received a call reporting a robbery in progress in the 2600 block of West Fletcher Avenue. That was one of those moments that define a string of thefts within the neighborhood. Unlike this isolated robbery, another string of thefts was reported two days later, on March 16. Between the hours of 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. In total, that day, 13 robberies were reported at different locations. These incidents really showed a very alarming trend that seemed to unfold within such a short period, giving rise to concerns over safety and crime in the vicinity.

The suspects were described as four to five Black American males between the ages of 18 and 30 years of age. All suspects were similarly described with their face concealed by a black ski mask, dark-colored clothing described as black joggers or black jeans, with a black hoodie. This choice of dressing achieves a uniform look on them. Considering their physical features, it is reported that the suspects range between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall in height, meaning they fall in a class that is almost one inch above average height. Concerning their weights, an estimation places them at about 150 to 180 pounds, which points out that they have slender body types. Stories coming from the Chicago police department, for instance, reveal that these individuals are armed with dangerous weapons, which include black handguns, rifles, and knives, respectively. This information develops serious public safety issues and the possible threat presented by the suspect.
