Man wanted by Chicago police for attempted sexual assault

On Wednesday, Chicago police made a big announcement when they released new surveillance images showing a man they want. He's wanted in the disturbing incident of attempting to sexually assault a woman. The police report that the event occurred in the busy Fulton Market area, an area full of life and pedestrians.

It was a heinous attack at about 5:30 in the morning on April 14. The victim, who was a woman, walked north on Carpenter Street from the vicinity. She had been walking, minding her business, until the suspect came from behind and approached her in a forcible manner. In a brazen turn of events, he grasped the woman and pulled her into a nearby alleyway, attempting to overpower her.

Even in view of the sudden, brutal attack, the woman was very brave. She bit his finger in self-defense against the attacker, momentarily freeing herself from his grasp. Even after this brave try at defending herself, it only escalated the situation further, he tossed her to the ground. After the violent incident, he ran south on Carpenter Street. The police have asked for any information regarding this incident and the identity of the man captured in these camera shots.
